Yes you can ask attorney, can you please send me a receipt copy once the labor petition filed for my records ani.
Unless your employer instructs them not to do send anything to candidates, para legals will send it. Again as i said this is employer property, some employers are open and send everything to candidates. Some of our desi employers hide everything and create tension for candidates.

From my previous experience, Labor won't have any A number, you will get that only after applying for I140. Labor is employer petition for that specific position. In the past they used to substitute labors filed for one person to other. Now they made those things strict or eliminated completely. So you may not have any proof for labor petition filing other than believing your employer and attorney. You can check with your other friends if they got any receipt when labor filed before arguing with your employer.
