MAHESH BABU TO STAR IN ROMANTIC THRILLER FOR BRAHMOTSAVAM PRODUCERS?

Hyderabad: Superstar Mahesh Babu has agreed to do another movie for the producers of 'Brahmotsavam' to recover the losses incurred by them due its box-office failure.
Mahesh is currently working on a project which is being directed by A.R. Murugudoss and he might take up the new project once it is completed.
According to a media report, Mahesh Babu has already heard the script from director Paidipalli Vamshi, who might be directing the film and has shown interest.
The movie is supposedly a bilingual romantic thriller, which will bring out the romantic side of Mahesh Babu. The pre-production will start in June. However the star has not yet signed the dotted line.
Currently both Mahesh and Vamshi are on vacation with their families.

Nobody can predict the future because of 'one movie a year' by all heroes. One flop will change the situation.
Junior NTR: 'No way' anukontunnaa.Yi roju ki HIt movie vachinaa 50crores share kashtam gaa vundi.He has to go long way to join the big league.Allu Arjun ki chances vunnaayi.But, we never know.If Mahesh gives back to back hits from now onwards, nobody can come close to him. |

Mahesh Babu is arguably one of the best actors among the contemporary Telugu heroes. He can get into the skin of any character and mesmerize us with his subtle yet effective portrayal.
He is the only actor to have so many State Awards and Filmfares among his contemporaries. Despite having loads of talent and also scoring big hits, Mahesh is yet to cement his place as the numero uno hero of Telugu cinema.
Lack of consistency is turning out to be the biggest problem for Mahesh in this regard. Chiranjeevi was crowned as the number one hero as he consistently scored blockbuster after blockbuster during 90’s. Other top heroes like Balakrishna and Nagarjuna failed to maintain that consistency and compete with Chiranjeevi.
A big flop or a series of disasters follow whenever Mahesh scores a blockbuster. Nijam and Arjun came right after Okkadu and he bounced back with Athadu and Pokiri. But then Sainikudu, Athidi and Khaleja, a hat-trick of disasters have pushed him back. Then he bounced back again with Dookudu, Businessman and SVSC.
He was just a step away from being labeled as the new number one of Tollywood, but then 1 Nenokkadine and Aagadu happened.
Meanwhile his fierce competitors like Pawan Kalyan got back on track with big hits. Mahesh proved his mettle with Srimanthudu and wiped out all other records except for Baahubali.
It would have been so good for him if he followed it up with a blockbuster as Pawan Kalyan messed it up with SGS. But Mahesh has delivered an unimaginable disaster like Brahmotsavam that he has once again given a chance for his competitors to catch up with him.
Mahesh is supremely talented and has superb following among all the sections of audience, but he needs to be consistently successful at the box office. Hope he learnt a lesson out of Brahmotsavam experience and take care about his future projects. |
