Gochi:.Usually before granting you the policy,they do basic medical tests(blood work) to make sure you are fine
They did complete medical tests for wife and I as we opted for max coverage allowed; that was 8 years ago.

Yes anduke conditional ga cheppanu if you are an FTE and no plans to leave the company ani. from cost perspective that's the best option. but if you don't want to take any chance then outside term insurance is better.

I took from my employer...basic life insurance coverage they provide is 1 time of your annual salary... and after that you can add a supplemental insurance upto 450k for an additional monthly payment, so I opted for the maximum...but this is not a longterm solution...
like esscuse baa said, we better take a Term Life Insurance locked for a 20-30 year period...earlier you lock it, cheaper it is...check the website selectquote.com ...they offer Term Life policies from different companies...you can compare plans and finalize one...Usually before granting you the policy,they do basic medical tests(blood work) to make sure you are fine and then only they accept the policy...its an easy process.. |

Best option is to participate in company insurance but have a term life insurance for 20/25/30 years term outside thru insurance company with excellent ratings. get it now when you are healthy as the premiums will be super cheap. |

Idi best option. normally all companies do it for 1 yr salary with option 5-6 times.
