1) make sure you take max amount allowed at your work place
2) your wife (and at least one more person close to your family) should have an idea of your overall financial holdings
3) you and your wife should have a "will" and a "GPA"
4) maintain a file of all your account numbers, passport numbers, SIN numbers, locker details etc and make sure your wife can access those details easily.

best option is if your employer is covering life insurance,take it...ante usualgaa Employer covers our life insurance by default for some very small amount...you can upgrade this to higher amount by paying additional money(Supplemental Life Insurance antaaru)...like my company covers me for 100k for free of cost for me but I pay monthly around $75 extra to upgrade it to 500k...
if employer is not covering, just shop around for 'Term Life Insurance'...it will be for 10yrs, 20yrs etc...more the term, more the cost/month bcos they are taking a risk for a longer term on you...any life insurance, they ask some basic health questions like smoking etc while giving a quote... and 90% of them ask for Blood test once you register...vaalley intikocchi theesukelthaaru,leka they will schedule an appointment in a lab near your house..this is for them to make sure you are in good health at the time of taking insurance..anthe gaani prathi saari adagaru...Check Cigna & Metlife... |
