depends on age and coverage you are taking. for 70-74 years range and 150k coverage, it costs about $12/day per person. This is from a table that came with the policy I took for my mother in 2013. It's better to take it here, not in India. There may be other cheaper options. The one we used was from "Travel Underwriters". got it through a local broker. luckily never had to use in those 4 months. Ignorance is bliss

Yes, they can apply for PR while in the country visiting. Super VISA kooda a type of Visitor VISA only. So, they can apply for PR while on that VISA. Insurance expensive bro, never explored much on that one.
