Going long on USD is a bad bet for now. US macros slowly coming weak, EUR macros strengthening, anyway yellen bamma hike chesedi ledu near future... Eur shorts unwinding, and now i think AMs are piling up EUR longs. Just not right time to long USD index.. |

I would suggest these topics -
1) Mean Variance Analysis
2) Intermarket Analysis
3) Portfolio Performance measurement, Risk Mgmt
4) Asset Pricing
5) Portfolio allocations
ee topics meeda papers, or you can search wiki etc. For you, no need to understand equations etc. If you just know definitions, it will make you change your thinking, and be more systematic. Then you can research further based on intrest. |

Actually, I just look at the business(sector, Industry), how good the company has been doing so far etc .I'll look if this has been fallen recently for any silly reasons like 'not meeting a fraction percentage/pershare of expectations etc) and go with that. I try to book the profit ASAP.
I am not good at technical analysys, but tryignt o learn so that I know what they are talking about. |

well..i might disagree, i was of similar opinion earlier. But trading around events is a subject i am going to study in the last quarter.
Stock event ki munde anticipation toh moves untai and when the actual event happens mkts react/try to readjust. This whole think is inefficient interms of intraday, but over time ( could be couple of days or longer ) market will price the stock close to its fair value.
So different players take different data + analysis to make decisions giving you inefficiency. But overtime ivanni even out avtai.. |

There are few plus points here and there , but you got to watch out with Costco. I blindly used to shop in Costco. But, one fine day one of friends compared the prices for me with the local stores and then realized that Costco is not a cost effective in groceries. Only thing is you need to know where to shop for various items. Example: Organic Eggs and Milk. Local H-mart sells for lesser than Costco. Watermelons and most of the fruits are less in walmart than Costco and so on. |

Electronics laantivi Costco lo better because of warranty and easy return policy etc. But, Their concierge service sucks to the core. They don't know any thing except standard installation procedures etc. |

cherries on last weekend $2.82 per pound in Costco. $1.99 in all of the dicky stores.
organic Blue berries about 3.60 or some thing in Costco and $3.00 in most of the stores.
Milk, eggs, water melon anni kudaa local stores kante yekkuva. Basmati rice is at par with local Patel stores.
Never buy garden soil/potting soil etc in Costco. Just looting. Go to the local garden/mulch/soil centers and you will get at least 40% less than the Costco. In somecases, you will get up to 60% less than the Costco price.

Agree with Kubang, Costco,Walmart would be tough to beat. I think Amazon didnt venture into China cos they realise they cant bully Alibaba on their home turf. But they r able to thrash Indian flipkart,snapdeal. So ee wait strategy work kadu..

When comparing Amazon - Costco i am comparing their biz models of online vs brick&mortar shops. Amazon retail sales were never that great, its their AWS that just a bumper hit. AWS revenues anta they r routing to their other businesses. So in retail, given their sheer size they just enter new markets like India and bully/wait for competitors to die out. Daani kante i dont see Amazon doing anything very innovative in their biz.
Head2Head - logistics,connectivity,outreach ivanni chuskunna, to outlast Costco,Walmart would be tough. I understand Costco is into fuel, membership etc as well.. if it comes to that i feel its easier for Costco to tweak their plans a bit and come out strong.Instead Amazon is a Jeff Bezos one man show... |

Not related to TD. Three of us got together at work and bought this service and paid about $10k for all of their offerings for life time. I generally post most of the recommendations here. They have picks for stocks, options, monthly trades in stocks, income portfolio etc..
returns ante definitely better than indexes, I didn't track close enough. It's only for the last two years. overall I can say that they made us money.

For levels to see .. 8-10-12 seem important. Upside chuskuna it seems 11 is not right strike. If we trade now, could take a Straddle on 10, checking the IVs.
All that said, lets watch out for the move, seems this thing moves mostly on announcement days. |
