..and one more interesting thing about Swami Vidya praksaanadagi is that he is not a brahmin, but from vysya community and belong to the village Bhattiprolu where I went for my college studies(B.Com). |

I just startdedd listening his Vassishta gita. Now, i understand where these gurus failed and why Jaggi is attractive to the audience.
Vidya prakasaanandagiri Swami got great insights into the philosophy , but wanted to explain to his audience of that generation.So, he always uses the words 'Jivudu','Brahma' etc.His insights are covered with the languages he uses to convery it(not appealing to the present generation). I was shocked when Chinmaya Mission to whom I had great respect were selling 18 set of DVD's package which had entire discourse of Gita for $825,,
If we give for free people would have value for it I agree, but how can it be out of reach..
I had this Gita Makarandam book with me from past 30 years..
There are many people who are content with what they are doing unlike the modern self made guru's and our job is to connect to those real people instead of falling like the insects at the lamp..

I dont want to criticize Isha here. They are making millions of people to come out, bend their bodies(in the name of yoga) and making them contribute to others. Nothing is wrong. But, by going in corporate way, we can not kill our local indigenous orgs anedi kavi bhaavam. |

I won this book in some competition. I still preserve this book and this is a gem of book.
No one gave a clear understanding of Gita..

I just casually inquired through email about a book called GITA MAKARANDAM published by them to know if they can send to USA or not. Amazing customer care experience. They sent reply in 30 minutes about how many copies I want and where I am located. I sent the details and they gave me reply in 15 minutes about the total cost of shipping and the cost of the books with their bank and paypal details. They just mailed my books right away after getting approval from me and asked me to transfer the money whenever I have time and dont need to rush on that. Of course, I sent them right away through paypal. |
