CCDB ayina gattiga 200 active users...ROM chaala unnaru anukunna thinking less than 1000 users per month...alantappudu 5K per month very tough with banner ads. Advertisers don't pay much for banner ads and same user malli malli vastunna they don't want to pay

These DB left lot of memories. When I came to US in 2005, first time away from family, appudu eee DB really helped me, I didn't feel away from family and country. Missing good friends here, Gochi, Prassu, Babu, Esperanza, sollu, TK mama, Hemu, etc etc chaala mandi unaaru.
I left this DB for some reason.

This is the only telugu DB that supports sports. Software is outdated.. But this look and feel kI used to aypoyam.
If only I had time, jcr+sling+react kalipi same look and feel tho newer discussion board develop cheyyochu. Anyways... Hopefully Penukonda mama and team can save this DB. Ibdb, Tidb went away with time... If this goes away.... 20 years of telugu dbs lo stalwart retire aynattu. Hats off...

sure, will miss this DB. have to accept the change. We had fun for last 14/15 years. Founding members like sollu, Gaali assalu ravatam ledhu. funding may not be the problem, as critic said, we could share. Only maintenance could be the problem. No one has time to spend. it may not be so difficult to continue the contact wth other DB members except Vesa. |

Its very sad and disappointing to hear this DB is going to dawn.
However I respect the time&effort of the DB admins who were sacrificing their personal time and family time to keep this DB up and running. Its not easy.
I thank all my fellow DB friends whole heartedly for giving this opportunity to express my opinion without any sugar coating.
However I like Music Babai's suggestion if we can sustain this till the end of elections will be good. Would like to fight it out with my fellow DB friends.

Hello brothers...most of you know, this topic came up a few times before and a couple of years back after discussing we decided to keep our DB alive...At that time, I took over the responsibility from Gaali bro...but as time progressed, neither me nor Gaali bro or other senior members are not having time and resources to keep the DB extended even longer. With the outdated software, servers, and people not able to dedicate time, it is not feasible to keep extending our DB longer... Old timers, hope you understand the hard decision being made here...We are planing to bring down the DB by end of this month (March 2019)...I know we are all connected through this DB for more than 15 years and we do not want to lose touch with each other even after this DB goes away...As an alternative, we can have a whats app group created and I will add all the members who are interested into this group...I know we will lose anonymity in whatsapp but most of us already know each other and hope there is minimum trust to continue in whatsapp...please send me your phone numbers (massmegastar at yahoo dot) with your DB ID and I will add them...I will post you all an update again as time gets closer to end of March... |
