That's fine...I may be totally wrong. Just taking a guess based on their prior behavior with people that are far more loyal and important to Congress than him.
Surprised that BJP did not touch him as well when he is somebody whose arrest would cause zero political loss. |

Keeping him in jail for 16 months is no small thing. India lo lot more simple cases take years/decades to be resolved. I won't hold it against JDLN for the cases not concluding in the 2 or 3 years in which he was with CBI hyderabad. |

KVP arrest...I don't think Cong was shielding KVP. KVP was aak paak karepaak in Cong without YSR. Under Cong rule, they arrested faar more important people belonging to UPA/Cong. There was almost zero use in shielding KVP when they arrested so many others like Kalmadi, Raaja, Kanimozhi. When there were serious allegations people CMs like Vilasrao Deshmukh, Karunakaran, Ashok Chavan were dropped as CMs. |

We need to separate 2 things:
1) Was JDLN a good/great officer? I think so, he handled lots of high profile and high pressure cases very well. I will talk about KVP issue and conclusion of Jagan cases in my next post.
2) Did he think too much about himself in terms of political impact: Undoubtedly Yes. Starting a political party is not a joke unless one has a strong family legacy or enormous popularity these days.

JDLN best example. He is a regular IPS guy when he was handling Jaggad's cases. He was following orders and did what he had to.. Media matuku ithaniki ekkadaleni importance ichi baaga leparu. Ithanu thanaki thaanu ededo voohinchukunnadu, leni heroism antagadithe nijam ani brama paddadu.
