Are you kidding me? He used to charge Rs.500 to Rs.1000 per song(depends up on the year).The central govt employe'se avg salary per month used to be Rs,1000/- at that time. chakrapani him self gave Rs.25,000 in a single year to Ghantasala..

SVR used to charge Rs.30000/- per movie. He got paid Rs50,000/- for "Devudu chesina manushulu".Hardly 20 days work.

Naagayya chaged Rs2,00,000 from Pakshiraja movies(after Thyagaayaa got releases in 1946 or 1947).

They made lot of money.
