If you have that kind of discipline(investing on regular intervals and keep track of them) , it may work well. For my age, I focus on clearing all the loans as much as I can.

I would strongly suggest you to do math to find the breakeven & benefits in percentages by year , if u opt for longer term ( 20, 25, 30 ), and reinvesting the Emi difference. It would initially cut into interest part of the loan, but over a period of time u would be benefitted with faster principal payment with reinvested amount.
