Maa area lo 'March-May' and again 'September to November' is the best season for Spinach,lettuce,Parsley,Mint etc..

Again hot weather lo raadu. flowers vachesi leaves productivity thakkuva gaa vuntundi. Except Bachali and Gongura, I did not find any other leafy vegetable that grows well in the hot weather.

I have Puduna farm at back of my home where we put mulch. Until now we have made 2 times Fresh Pudina pachhadi. I literally used 20 bunches of pudina kattalu every time for that. More We cut faster we get.

Next year try chestha. Just an idea for you. Instead of the same variety , you can try sweet ones, sour ones, black, purple, yellow etc..fun way of gardening.

(1)Apple-Breaburn(Fruiting stage)

(5) peach(Started this year. Got just one fruit.One year old. Expecting regular crop from next year,)

Coming to your question about the current season: This is the list, but all of them are in the beginning stage(because of our cold weather until April 15th) and very tiny plants at this stage..

I am growing inground-
(1)Apple-Breaburn(Fruiting stage)
(2) Blueberries(Fruiting)
(3)Black berries( Fruiting)
(4) Raspberry,(Fruiting)
(5) peach(Started this year. Got just one fruit.One year old. Expecting regular crop from next year,)
(6) Nectarine,( one-year old, got about 30 to 35 fruits)
(7) Fig( one year old, I think it takes 3 years to get fruits)
(8) Persimmon(3 years old and got 28 fruits last year)
(9) Hardy Goosberry( one year small plant and I think I need to wait,2 more years to get fruits)

As I told on many occasions, I like the winter garden better than a summer garden because of no pest issues and no need to water them. I also like low/no maintenance fruit trees.You plant one time and get yield for 10 to 20 years(or more than that). It doesn't mean I don't plant during spring/summer, but taking a bit easy on them. I'll list out in the next post.

after 3-4 years, now he is doing more than us now. Summer lo super activity alavatu aithe manatam kashtam,

finally its a good time pass in summer for us.

maa close friend okadu unnadu, he has lot of passion, he does a lot and enjoys every bit of backyard farming in summer.

he even calls us for lunch/dinner to spend time and appreciate his work.
