NYT 01/11/10 - New Jersey Assembly Approves Medical Marijuana

The New Jersey Assembly approved a measure on Monday that would make the state the first in the region and the 14th in the nation to legalize the use of marijuana for medical reasons.
The measure was to be voted on by the State Senate later in the afternoon, the final day of the legislative session. If passed, it would allow patients diagnosed with severe illnesses like cancer, AIDS, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis to have access to marijuana distributed through state-monitored dispensaries.
Gov. Jon S. Corzine has said he would sign it into law before leaving office next Tuesday. Gov.-elect Christopher J. Christie, speaking at a press conference on Monday before the vote, reiterated his support for legalizing the medical use of marijuana as long as the final bill contained safeguards to ensure that it did not end up encouraging the recreational use of the drug.
Assemblyman Reed Gusciora, a Democrat from Princeton, said the New Jersey law would be the most restrictive in the nation because it would only permit doctors to prescribe it for a list of serious chronic illnesses. The legislation would also forbid patients from growing their own marijuana and using it in public, and it would regulate the drug under the strict conditions used to track the distribution of medically prescribed opiates like Oxycontin and morphine.
“I truly believe this will become a model for other states because it balances the compassionate use of medical marijuana while limiting the number of ailments that a physician can prescribe it for,” said Mr. Gusciora, who sponsored the bill.
Mr. Christie said he wanted to make sure that New Jersey did not follow the path of other states that have legalized the medical use of marijuana.
“I think we see all what’s happened in California,” Mr. Christie said. “It’s gotten completely out of control.”
Opponents of the New Jersey bill often use California’s experience as a cautionary tale, saying that medical marijuana is so loosely regulated there that the state has essentially decriminalized the drug. Under California law, residents can legally obtain marijuana to treat a list of maladies as common, and undefined, as anxiety or chronic pain.
The New Jersey Senate last year passed a less restrictive version of the proposal, which led opponents of medical marijuana to predict that it would pave the way for California-style “pot centers.” David Evans, executive director of the Drug Free School Coalition, said that such centers would make marijuana more readily available on the streets and lead to an increase use of drugs by teenagers.
But after conference hearings among legislative leaders, both chambers agreed on a more stringent bill.
As the legislators prepared to vote on the measure, more than a dozen chronically ill patients rallied at the State House to urge lawmakers to pass it.
One of them, Scott Ward, who said he suffered from multiple sclerosis, said he had been prescribed marijuana to alleviate leg cramps so severe that they often “feel like my muscles are tearing apart” and that leave him virtually unable to walk. Other prescription drugs either failed to ease the pain or left him so groggy he could do little more than sleep, Mr. Ward said. But when he followed his neurologist’s advice and treated his pain with marijuana, Mr. Ward said, the pain went away.
“I could do normal things like walk the dog,” said Mr. Ward, 26. “It made a huge difference in my life.”

HESG CEO Tom Gaffney already issued a pr to update HESG from pink to OTC board.Tom Gaffney made it clear that HESG did not issue any new shares after retiring 2B shares.When Official Share structure is filed for OTC update which is 5B-2B(retired) market makers will have to cover for those phantom shares non existing shares issued.
Just check ZVTK when it got updated from pink to otc alone and imagine if 8B shares phantom shares exist whats the Price per share going to be

edwy moved from alert price.043 to .075 recently thats gain as well.
Some stocks denied the logic, CXAC with ladies beauty products with commercials listed in Oprah's site should be hitting hard but it didnt move at all and went more negative.
My latest pick HESG has traded 36 Billion stocks with only 3B O/S people from IHub alone there are 1.2B longs. THis stock is holded by market makers right now. when they r done with there shorting they will let it loose this is going to run hard.

Game is on Individual Investors vs Market Makers.
Over 10Billions of stocks traded in last 1month.while actual A/S is only 3Billion. Many believe Market makers are on wrong side of trading by Issuing more shares aka NSS.Market makers have to cover thier Naked short sells in x number of days(100days time) or else sec will issue a FTD(Failure to deliver).oNce that happens Price will increase exponentially..Soooo Market makers are really trying hard to bring the Price down and panic selling to trigger.They brought the price down from .001 to .0006,but not much selling has happened this week,and time is running out of Market Makers to cover thier shorts..
Its getting more and more interesting in days to come..

BIEL/HMDI very good to enter at current prices.
edwy catching up after down 40%
dlad/cxac didnt move as expected and are almost dead unless there are new pr's.
kkur is good flip buy at current levels this thing will pop up suddenly 100% gains possible.

BZCN up 1200% from my initial alert .0005 to .0054 during thanksgiving run. pulled back to .0018 currently at .0028 another big run expected before xmas.300% profit guaranteed if you buy now and hold till jan 1st week,2010.
HESG up 2200% from my intitial alert at .0001 to .0024. pulled back to .0010 and is trading at 1b mark most of the days.buy at .0008 range and hold it for 4-5 months will be lifechanging investment with most of the states going towards medical marijuana(nj joined the list recently)
SUNV moved up 20% to .12 from alert price at .10
i bailed out from cxac at 5's with minimum loss.
BZCN will run big in coming 2 weeks with xmas deals listed biz auctions site..from .003 to.01 home run expected..

Hema .003 short term(nov-dec) is very much possible for CXAC.Patience is the key.Every stock have to start from .0001,apple started in a garage as a penny stock. If you can invest in right company sky is the limit for penny stocks.

right now every one is holding, volume is very less at 100M. you can buy 1-3 m without any problem..if you have doubts how to trade penny stock contact your trading firm and ask how to place a buy orde, sell order.some firms only allow limit buy/sell for penny/subpenny stocks.for 1000$ you can buy 1.66M at limit .0006

I am going to give alerts for some longterm and short term plays. these are all penny,sub penny stocks,meaning there is high risk involved in these picks and high rewards too.do your dd and invest if you want to invest in my picks.
I will give alert price when the pick is great for longterm,if there is 500-1000% gain possibility
for shorterm i will look for volume,entering at dips and look for 50-100% gains.i will also if there are events that might pull the price up like any advertisements of the picks in tv etc
My current long term picks:
BOB Picks:
Logterm-SUNV,ICOP are doing great they are in positive side,expected to hit 1$ mark in next year or so,when they start moving up.
longterm-EDWY fell back to where it started at around .043 its a grab at its current price.just needs some press release for this to fly.
Short term
GSPG-didnt move as expected, it remained at around alert price.
JEDM moved to .14 after its alert price at .11 and its back to .11 now
HMDI is a grab at current price this will fly when the reverse merger is finalized.
BIEL fda play, you never know keep some 100 or 200$ and sell limit at 1$ if approved 1000% move is for sure.
BZCN alert price at .0008 it gained 60% today
KKUR alert price at .0008 keep sell limit at .002 this will only go up from here, avg down if it goes further down its real chance at this price
Hot Pick CXAC alert price at .0004, currently 75% up from alert price,buy at .0005 or .0006 if you can or buy at current price and set sell limit at .003, minimum 300- 500% gains written all over it.
