table_b loo 6 million rows vunnaayi
bedar .. try to partition table_a , and also try to use bitmap join indexes across those 2 tables , use parallel hints
this should speed up .. let me know if you need help on Partitioning

and b.col1 is primary key for table_b
the above query is taking very long long....
question eemiti ante if I re-write the query to something like this, would it help the performance
select a.col1 from table_b b inner join table_a a on (b.col1=a.col1)
?
