Woman stripped for allegedly helping a couple to elope
LUCKNOW: A woman was allegedly stripped and beaten up by members of a khap panchayat on charges of helping a couple to elope in Madhi village, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh (UP).
According to police, the victim in her complaint has claimed that four men in inebriated state first assaulted her with a baton after stripping her and later called her in the panchayat meeting and blackened her face and misbehaved with her.
The woman's son who tried to intervene and protect his mother was also beaten up.

Husband makes wife strip and dance in Bhopal
BHOPAL: My husband strips me naked every night and compels me to dance nude, sometimes in front of my children. He urinates on my food and forces me to consume the same,'' a 30-year-old woman narrated a harrowing of her traumatized 12-year marriage in a family counselling centre in Betul district on Sunday. Please help me separate from him. Send me back to my mother's house so I don't have to undergo this mental and physical harassment anymore,'' she said weeping uncontrollably, even as six members of the family counselling centre gasped in shock.
Even more disturbing was the husband's behaviour. He is a farmer, identified as Suresh Mahar of village Kondhar, 30 km from Multai town. When summoned, the man came to the counselling centre and confessed he had done exactly as his wife claimed for the past 11 years. I looked after her well for one year after the marriage,'' he said. Then it all went wrong.'' He agreed being a habitual alcoholic and under intoxication made his wife to dance naked before him. He also accepted that he made her consume his urine.

Two sadhvis gangraped in ashram in Bihar
BHAGALPUR: Two sadhvis at the Maharshi Mehi Ashram here were allegedly gangraped by its in-charge and his associates, police said today.
The sadhvis, who were sisters, were gangraped by the Ashram in-charge Swami Aryanand and his associates in a field inside the premises last night.
The accused were identified as Aryanand, Ghanshyam Mandal, Vivekanand Sinha, Pankaj Kumar, Prem Yadav, Ratna Paswan and three other unidentified persons, police said.
A case has been registered against various sections of IPC but no one has been arrested, they added.
The sadhvis from Katihar district, have been staying at the ashram for some time, the sources said.
