I started my journey 16 years ago in various roles developer , DBA for very large databases , DWH architect , ETL developer , DWH reporting architect . Across many Domains like Banking , Energy & Utilities , now in Telco. Used multiple ETL and reporting tools .
If you want to move into Pre-sales , Bi-Strategy . You need a strong techno functional skills that cuts across tools and technologies
thanks 420...I am into ERP mama....multiple ERP's(2 ERP's full exp + 1 ERP trained), ..techno functional..multiple industries but mainly healthcare...
currently bored with our tech stuff..so throwing a stone into solution architect/presales..
in 16 how long with a*ture?
how did you feel the change from the tech/func/archi to presales?
howz the travel ? they told 50% for me
did u get any training in the begining?
any hand helding or did u pick the momentum on your own?
do you use salesforce tools everyday?
Also the numbers in solution architect/presales seems different from ? the base starts is 50% of current pay and rest on sales performance + team performance+ individual performance I guess? did the numbers ever go low then our regular pay as senior technofunctional guy?
how are the politics?
howz ur typical week?
with kids - are u still able to manage the travel?
