also if you find a desi employer and file for labor in parallel, I think you'll be eligible for h1 once your I140 is approved. You can change from F1 to H1. I am not 100% sure on this option, you can get opinion from lawyer. |

go for F1 and apply for colleges immediately.
Even if you find desi employer, its almost impossible to file and get approval in 6 months.
DOL Wage determination is taking a month or so and they have to do ads and wait for 2 months before filing for labor. So even if you do this today, it will take atleast 3 months to file for labor. so F1 is the safest option. |

Yes this is a risky and long shot. If they are holding your H1 for 3 months then converting to F1 may be a better option.
Naa personal advice ayithe, don't even think about India option. It will be difficult to come back. |

File for labor immediately. You can even find a desi company who will be willing to file labor for future employment through your friends. File in EB3 as there will not be much scrutiny. If you are lucky you can get labor approved and also I-140 before 6 months. You can then get 3 year extension.
Look for converting to F1 as well. This will be backup and safe option. |

Tokkalodi:why don't you go to India and stay there for 3 months and recapture the date. In the meantime if your labor gets approved, you can file for I140 premium and get 3 year extension.
Also look for options in Canada as a 2nd option.
Heard consulting companies labor is going to audit in lot of cases and getting denied as well routinely now and I will be struck in India then.
Canada, I don't know how easy is the process for IT guys

why don't you go to India and stay there for 3 months and recapture the date. In the meantime if your labor gets approved, you can file for I140 premium and get 3 year extension.
Also look for options in Canada as a 2nd option. |

6 and half months H1B left. What are the options
1.) Find a project immediately and file for GC. Best case scenario still might not make it as labor approval which is taking 4-5 months now to file 1 year extension
2.) Find a university and join in MS again and try to complete in 1 and half year.
3.) Find a job and go back to India
