basic ga if you can withstand sudden rise in interest rates i.e., if you can afford to pay 25 to 50% more in monthly payments in case of sudden interest rate increases; then go for variable. Risk enduku anukunte go for fixed. obviously fixed scenario lo you pay little bit more but that's insurance you have to pay for reducing your risk.

choosthunna baa...every week applying for 1 or 2 jobs...99% cases lo GC ledhu dobbey antunnaaru...even last Friday I had a company who told me they dont want to process H1B...inkaa frustrate aithe I will go for contracting anukuntunnaa....there are lot of contracting positions open in my area...

there is no one size that fits all annai..depends on several factors. I went with 30 yr fixed and re-fi'ed to 15yr fixed.

janaalu fixed aithe better antaaru...I would prefer 15 yr fixed...30yr fixed lo interest rate is too high currently,but after 5yrs inkaa peragocchu...so risk/return annattu...5/1 or 7/1 is better than 30yr fixed ani naa idhi...but if you can make it, go for 15 yr fixed..
