. NC is not cheap now a days. It's the land of 400k starter homes where as Calif lo you won't even get a condo at that price
Calif has best weather hands down, but NC has abundance of rain. No fire seasons here
Simple description, NC is a bedroom state. No excitement, family oriented while California is a destination state with a few bedroom communities
