Before the release people went to the theatres just to watch the trailer of this movie, such was the craze of Nagarjuna in South India at that time, he was at the peak of his superstardom. I was in Engineering 1st year and I watched this movie with my college buddies on the release day, we bought the tickets in black and I remember it costed us Rs. 20000 for 8 of us and it was a huge amount considering we were only students. But the best part is, we enjoyed the movie from the start to finish. Those days they used to put special lighting around the screen for popular songs and the whole theatre erupted in whistles when lights started blinking for "Soniya Soniya", We were 4 boys and 4 girls and none of us were in seats when the song started, all of us were dancing like crazy. I can't believe its been 25 years! That's the beauty of life, time flies but the memories stay with us! |
