Our creation is based on the theory of God's thought of seeing himself differently in different forms. Its not any different fundamentally to the version of Christianism, where they say God created everything..
However ours is a little bit different, that God took different forms to create, He defined every minute detail of the creation took different forms to maintain, sustain, destroy it and keeps watching in satchindanda mode in neetral form. Every role he defined plays what it is supposed to be and then it is automatically sustained. He doesnt intervene any further other than keep watching his creation.
Ours is more like of cyclic creation/destroy mode. That means thousands of universes exists and get destroyed eventually based on the time lines defined by GOD and then gets created again. This is a cyclic process. And there is on Brahma per creation and there are millions of such creations.
Why he created this, our dharma says, its his Leela, he wanted it he made it.

Gaali saru, Atheist who say there is no god and Agnostics who are somewhere between there is god, there is no god, very true one type of cults. I believe this cult came when they are not convinced by the very fact that GOD exists with whatever material exists to say that there is GOD.
I have seen some people who were theists, became atheist eventually, ( kamal hasan types ). The very reason is that they were not convinced with their intellect, questioning, reasoning that GOD exists, what ever is happening has no relation to GOD and its fine.
Sanatana Dharma unlike christianity or Islam which has bible or Quran as reference, is based on experience. One who cannot experience cannot believe. So the people have evolved over a period of time to become Atheist and Agnostics.
Agnostics due to family background or some other reasons, are most confused unlike the other two categories, who cannot be convinced either way.
All these categories should and will exists, until people try to explore and understand the mysteries of life and connect the dots. There is enough material to connect these dots, but it takes lot of effort, So people who believe in their intellect will not put this effort and leave as what they are.
I believe being theist due to family background is also not correct. Belief in Sanatana Dharma should be based on experience. So one have to be theist by their own experience not based on listening to what one says...

I guess any disco in these days goes by relativity, based on the situation or conditions prevailing at that moment in those discoing lives...simple gaa ardham ayyettu cheppamante...evari convenience ni batti vaaru aa aa kaalamaanaallo vaariki thochinattu argue chesthu untaar...
somehow, I feel there's nothing like wats called as 'thought conviction'
I have couple of friends who used to strongly believe in God, and they always argued like hell saying look we go to heaven something like that..times gone by, their lives met some problems like deaths in family etc...now they support those who question the very existence of God...
So, it works that way universally.

The root for this thread is a FB discussion amongst two friends of mine. A believer in a certain faith questioned another friend who tom toms his non-belief.
I believe I am an atheist/agnostic and saw a point in the argument posed by my friend who is a believer.
