but non-telugu took control mostly after that like KVM and IR time lo there was no competition to them from telugu, Ramesh Naidu was best, but he didnt get many chances. Rajan Nagendra from Kannada industry came and provided great hits.
aa taruvata MM Kreem, Mani, Raj-koti stopped Tamil dominance, ARR direct telugu movies were mostly flop so we don't have to worry about him.

true there are more but the impact these made is tremendous. Telugu music field was always dominated by non-telugu after 70's, Before that was golden era of Telugu music. Unfortunately, there is no one who can come on 1% close to these stalwarts in current generation.

There are only 4 LEGENDARY music directors in South India who were able to cut the boundaries across all states down Vindhya...I know we have greats in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam, but these 4 have created timeless tunes, everlasting background RR...
1. K V Maahdevan
2. M S Vishwanath
3. Illayaraaja
4. A R Rehaman
Incidentally all four are from TN, but that does not stop them to be loved by all the music lovers.
It is unfortunate that 2 (KVM & MSV) are down...but their music will live forever.

Mella tirandadu kathavu was the film for which both MSV and Ilayaraja worked togather. Raja composed 2 songs where as MSV composed the rest.
Another interesting thing is MSV worked with Yuvan too where MSV composed music where as Yuvan did the orchestration and recording.
