I don’t believe both Ravi Shankar, jaggi has that much knowledge on our scriptures . When Zakir is attacking on Upanishad and Gita, RS is so silent and didn’t give fitting reply, he doesn’t have ability to give spontaneous response.
Simple thing is zakir said publicly that allah or last Mohammad name is mentioned in bhavshya puran, Ravi couldn’t give even counter that. Jaggi is some what better in English when compare to Ravi, but he and zakir never participated in any event to counter zakir |

OSHO made so much impact given the limitations. jaggi is no where close other than the reach. Jaggi has technology in hand, so is Ravishankar. They are able to make it right usage of technology. So they became popular.
Ravishankar couldnt beat the Zakir Naik in a debate where he went to accusing lot of things on Hindu culture..

I have seen some indepth discussion of Jaggi, where I felt he is shallow. He is smart enough to keep it shallow so that the beginners can connect easily. No one is interested beyond that so he is scoring big time there..
Thats where my issue is, in spirituality superficial understanding will not help in any bit.. You need to have the right understanding which he cannot provide ani naa strong feeling after seeing so many videos of him..
If you want I can share the complete discourse of Bhagavadgita by Chinmayananda, he explains all 700+ slokas that layman can understand, he goes a little bit deep, but its easy to understand,

I really understood what you are feeling inside after I started reading Gita makarandam. The way Praksaanada gives explanation is awesome(the depth), but can not expect from a guru like Jaggi Vasudev .Not because he lacks the knowledge , but not possible to explain that way and keep the audience engaged. |

Musicfan:Geeta Makarandam will put you in right perspective no matter how much time it takes for you to get there. Thats old way of schooling, but I feel its always right..
because of the difficulty, I need to stop for time and recollect in the mind to assimilate it.So, taking lot more time than I expected. In case of Sadguru like people, they explain in very simple way.so, people like this way because of the time constraint in their busy lives. understandable.
About Sadguru not explaining fully: I think he knows the psychology of the present generation, so giving int he correct dose by not going too much.
But, i understand your question about his hollowness. i think it is not hollowness, he purposefully not going into too much philosophy to connect to the audience. |

When something should be the way of living, can you get it by casual hearing?? or spending couple of hours intermittent hearing??
I feel like laughing when people say I am hearing to Chaganti garu, When I quote few examples of what he said, they even dont remember that it was from what they claimed to have listened..
We have messed up our life, but cant spend time to make it easier by giving few focused minutes, which will make rest of life easier.

Connecting is not the key for any spiritual stuff, getting things right even though its late is better. Once you get sidetracked in any paths, its very difficult to get back.. Same things with misconception..

I want to complete the book by keeping a schedule everyday.But, I dont think many people will get motivated to read Gita like this because of their hectic daily schedules. The problem is: Different people connect to different styles of explanation/use of language. I just started reading Geeta makarandam(as many people praised here), but it is very difficult to follow it.I think that atlest 80% of the telugu reading people of this generation can not connect to this kind of language. Sadguru succeeds here. |

I thought at he answered at very high level unrelated stuff so that people get confused and think he is great..
Not sure why the audience were clapping for every statement he is making..

Penkal saar, every one does good in their capacity, but that doesn't make one Sadhguru,,
I have watched few videos, where I felt he is very shallow in the knowledge of many topics. However is rocks as a communicator.
The inner Engineering is part of Mystic Yoga which brings very good experiences to persons doing it, but thats no good for the spiritual journey. It helps many but it will remain superficial. But when they go ahead in the journey and look back, they would for sure know what it is..
For me he calling himself a Sadguru itself is a joke.
Anyways, this and other DB's have very good followers of him like our own SasiBab,, so I will not post try to say more that might not be liked by them. Will leave it here.
One thing I can say, we get what we look for..
